Mood: R U thinking what I'm thinking?......Oh dear!
It was on the beeb breakfast news this morning.

Must admit I thought the thing hadn't gone off, I was expecting the big white fluffy neck cushion job like dianese had?

At last some decent advances that might save some injuries or worse.

Not sure it should be compulsory and was it in a leather jacket or textile?

I'd certainly consider it next time I'm buying kit, no idea of the price though, did they mention this?

Ray.

Just seen it on the lunchtime news. It was quite impressive when demonstrated by a stuntman at 30mph. It was a textile jacket and it is approximately double teh price of an ordinary jacket.

They also didn't say if it was a use once and throw away item.

Most textile jackets are crash once in any case Chris, but see your point. Twice the price is a lot though. I recall seeing it in a 125 race at Valencia in the guys leathers around the neck I think. If it protects neck whiplash and also gives protection to organs, got to be very good step forward. I would have thought it is not the rolling around that hurts though, it's the hitting things, witness race crashes at over 100mph (would it have helped Toseland anymore in his 125mph highside this week? He left pretty much uninjured). Having extra padding might help if hitting stuff whilst rolling, eg kerb/car etc. Maybe good combined with the on-bike airbags for frontal accidents.

Chris

I think that was the condom advert that you saw after the bit about the jacket

The 749 rider should have learnt his lesson, hope he was not going out for a ride in his smart looking trainers.
