Race shift question.
I have Sato Rearsets on my 2006 749s track bike and want to convert from road shift to race shift.

Is this as easy as turning the lever on the spindle or do I need to buy one of those levers that go straight onto the spindle?

I have tried the former, but it just seems to catch on the engine casing and the sprocket cover.

Any ideas would be most appreciated.

Oh, and while I`m at it, I want a quick shifter but not too sure which is best. I have a PC3 fitted at the moment. So whats the best in your opinions? And do I need an ignition module or will it work just fine by plugging into the Power Commander?

You can just turn the linkage round, but I always prefer to use a lever straight off the spline.

Q/Shifter wise there are a few out there, I had a Techtronics/JHP race shift on my 999 but it wasn't cheap, you might have issues with the loom being a CAN bus on the 749/999

I'd give JHP a call and see what options are available, note I ran a seperate PCIII also
