corsa race mag wheels question.

I'm about to buy a set of genuine Marvic 3 spoke corsa mag race wheels for the beast.
Problems that appear to affect this upgrade are:
1) front wheels use different disks, a deeper offset i believe.
2) front wheel spindle size is larger
3) rear wheel will not take standard sprocket becuse of differnt cush drive.

So,
1) can I use ally spacers to make up allowances for using my AP disk setup, which are not a deeply offset as corsa items.

2)any one got a suitable size spindle, or know what spec it is.

3) any sources for sprocket makers.

any input would be nice.

Not sure of all the answers but as well as a different offset, I've got a strange inkling that the PCD on the disc mounting holes may be different?? 101mm vs. 80mm??
You should be able to space the calipers to compensate for the offset.
Talon or B&C Express should be able to make you the rear sprocket.

A very slippery slope, this. Also, do a search as this has come up before.

The front spindle is different as are the fork bottoms. You'll need new forks. You'll need a new rear swinging arm with the corsa hub, which is much larger then the road stuff.

You probably won't like it, but my advice is don't try what you're about to do unless you get all the right bits, which is mega expensive. Spacing the discs or getting a sprocket machined will be the least of your worries. I know, I've got an RS.

I got hold of some Marvic Penta 1's about 5 years ago, the front had the Corse hub the rear was standard road. The front was larger disc PCD as well as different offset, front spindle was only available in titanium and as you can imagine was very pricey, this may be different now as it was 5 years ago, you lose the speedo drive too, obviously only a problem if you use it on the road. I swapped mine for a road front and I agree with Felix, steer clear unless you're prepared go the whole hog

Well I'm totally confused now guys.
I did'nt think the swingarm had to be changed aswell.

any more info, really need an accurate idea of whats involved before thursday, which deadline to confirm my order.

Robin, I think Felix' reference to swingarm was on his single sided 916R rocket ship.
You may me OK?? worth checking though.
The bulk of your problems are going to be around the front end I think. Get the supplier/seller to do some measuring for you.
ID's on the wheel bearings, PCD of the disc mounts etc.

Not sure if it applies to yours Robin, but when I messed with this, one of the issues was the loss of a speedo drive..... might not apply to you though.

No change of swingarm required Robin....

If your quick, Talon will shortly be making a one off sprocket for my 888's 5 spoke mag marchesini rear.

Ring Rich at Louigi Moto, and tell him I sent yer...hes organising mine (ive lent him my carrier which im sure will be the same as yours - 5 bolt instead of 6), and Talon are only down the road from him..
