Was it?? I must be suffering from that ailment. I can't recall what they call it now.

As its new to us I don't think there is anything to aim for it will be what it is and peeps will hang onto each other and get pulled along or hopefully left behind. Its going to work those tyres.

Oulton Park is just short of 2.7 miles Sam West was on a 2:04 this Snett is very nadjerry and 3 miles so I'm going to have a rough guess at 2:38.

Over 2 1/2 mins a lap, wow! I think there is a genuine fear that I might have a snooze on the straights. I like tracks like Brands, short and sweet with the roller coaster 'Paddock Hill' to make sure you're awake

Not sure may be worth a loom at what the MRO minitwins or streetfighter c with TGB were doing as I think both have been there already.

Re gearing, skids has a great theory I reckon I will be adopting: fast medium slow tracks. This is a fast one so 43 I reckon as Anglesey should have been a 44 but thd wind meant I could get the extra bit so just overrevved

So that's 45 at mallory and brands, 44 Anglesey and 43 snett. Done

2 less. If Anglesey was find and you were revving out up the hill then 1 more and 1 less I reckon would do it but be warned; I know feck all

I must say I do like the new circuit at snetterton. Its fast, and flowing and gearing was very important on the DD bike, giving a variation of 3 seconds a lap over a combination of 3 different sprockets.

Anyways, see you all friday eve. I do hope its dry Friday, but who cares on Saturday/sunday.

As was the Brands test day at the begining of the season a few weeks before the Brands round when most other classes were falling off while using Wets yet every DD bike stayed upright even with oil mixing with the wet in certain areas of the track.
To me it wasn't just about grip in the wet but more about feel / feedback, racing a 130bhp Fireblade in Streetstocks at a very wet Thruxton it was easy to break traction but the road tyres were so predictable it was fun, just as the Wet DD race at Assen was a few years ago when on the Diablos.

But I'm hoping for good weather as I just don't seem to be able to push the bike as hard as I once did and i'm certainly not getting the most from these tyres yet, hence quite a few bike mods since Anglesey as I try to get back to my 2005/6 setup that had me collecting Pots and front row starts in Class B and NG Minitwins

As for Lap times Hugh I've seen you breeze bast me as if I was stood still, so if you learn the track quick enough and get the bike setup right you should be right up there competeing for the lap record and with Snett being Neal's local track it would be nice to see him up there also. Then there are the other usual suspects such as Kev P, who has some lost ground to make up and that old codger Alan who's getting quicker all the time and has already tried the new circuit. So dispite the long circuit it could be close racing up the front of the Class B field
