tech help-rear brake

I took off the rear brake leaver, now I cant get in fully in to put the retaining bolt in, about 2mm short, any ideas?

Hypermotard, on closer inspection the spring at the rear is paying a part in the problem, how can you take the load off the spring? is there a trick?

I seem to remember having similar issues with my old Multistrada.I'm pretty sure there is nothing to stop the pivot being pushed back.Have a feel around the back of the pivot,....you may be able to push it forward the 2mm you need.

got there in the end, had to undo the retaining clip and release the brake, fiddled around and got it sorted,
