WDW dates announced by Ducati...June 28 - July 1; Confirmed

Did I miss something recently - I knew the kicked about date was the last weekend in June but I dont remember seeing the date announced anywhere?

Write out 100 lines....I must check the Ducati site more regularly

At last confirmed via Federico Minoli on the Ducati website 'DesmoBlog'

http://blog.ducati.com/post/99/wdw2007

Dear Ducatisti,
I see you are as enthusiastic as we are and so we are happy to give you more information!
The fourth edition of the WDW will take place from Thursday June 28th through Sunday July 1st 2007 and will be organized at the Santa Monica racetrack in Misano, Italy: sun, beaches and above all lots of red passion!

We are all working very hard to make the plans for the event, it will be the top of the Desmo passion: riders, track, new bikes, music, food and lots of fun for everybody.

Some of you were worried about the fact that on that weekend there is also the Assen GP race. Don’t worry, Ducati GP riders will join us after the race (that we will see on a maxi screen on Saturday) and spend the whole day Sunday with us.
Please don’t stop dreaming of the WDW and keep sending us your ideas; your advice is so precious to us.
Season’s Greetings to all. Start your engines: the WDW is near!

Lucio

'so is anyone riding to Italy on anything but a Ducati ?

I am considering swapping my ZZR1100 for an ST2, but wonder about the reliability.

The big Z would be ideal and i'm also fairly attached to it.

I could always hide it under a bush for the duration of WDW!

ST2 is fine for this sort of trip, we'll be using the ST3 two up with luggage !!!.

Selling my Black ST2 if you are interested in a tidy well maintained example with panniers.

Gary

I am thinking about doing this, a suggestion would be to meet at Calais on the Wednesday night to start the ride down on the Thursday to arrive in Misano on Friday lunchtime ish. (That is if anybody is daft enough to do this )

From Calais I reckon it's approx 880miles.
