Dyno Time

well, I'm taking the bike to Dynobike at Malton tomorrow to have her PC III fitted and get some dyno time... I've put around 200 miles onto her since picking her up last weekend so this should be interesting to say the least !
I'll try to post up dyno charts tomorrow night / thursday...

Mood: anamorphic with overtones of sanguineness!
Hey Neil, can't wait to here the results. Just scored a set of upswept termgnonis. Bike is away having ST4 headers butcher to fit. Talked to the guy at Uni Filter and he promised me that UP4245's won't get sucked down the hole. You should have a chat to your dyno guy about them.
I'm now investigating this MyECU thing. Maps in 12 zones, so sounds like a better alt to getting a P8. P7's only map in 4 zones somebody was saying, so that has to go. And for a small price you can get a little box thing with buttons that sits on the top of the triple clamps that you can play with while riding. (240km coming into hairy courner. Mmm I'll just adjust the.......)

Dyno went really well, fitted up a power commander to the primary injection side (centre 2 in the V) , so the two injectors for high rev range were not connected into the circuit. Started with 129 rear wheel bhp + 67ft/lbs torque, with quite a few dips, and ended up with 134bhp +71ft/lbs torque, the curve for power and torque is really nice. To say I was chuffed is an understatement & the bike is now a dream to ride.

Must say that I was scared witless when he did the 80% and 100% throttle position runs, with a rev limiter of 12,300rpm you can maybe understand why I was more than a little nervous !

I now need to figure out how to post up the dyno chart !

Jasper, no probs mate - you know what it's like anyway, not the most interesting thing on the planet to watch. Mind if you had come along you'd have been wetting yourself, laughing at my bl**dy nerves...
