The 749R is now at the top of my wanted list
For the money, the list of extras and goodies on it is awesome. As much as the 999R and then some........carbon belt covers, slipper, bigger tank......
I'd even put up with riding a red 'un :P
There's also rumours about a variable inlet tract, but they are just that at the moment. Rumours.
The extra grunt of the 999 would be nice I guess, but I think the baby R will be one of THE bikes of next year.

Looking at the spec, they are going to do a variable power kit. To go from the std 116bhp up to "135-140bhp".

your right aswell nelly with magnesium rocker covers, carbon belt covers, carbon fairings, larger tank which is very interesting, slipper clutch, lighter 999r wheels, etc, it is a very long list!!

it does look superb aswell.

Yep,just as the 748R was the thinking mans Duke, the 749R picks up the mantle.Shame about the lack of a race exhaust system in the box tho.

Hmm 996? didnt someone called Fogarty race one of those? Yes i remember so last decade so nineties. I think it was exclusive once but as with most Dukes, the following year the spec dropped down to the lower model. Any Magnesium on a 996r? NO, Any lightweight Marchesinis? NO, any Corse swing arm? NO.
Go the whole hog mate get a 888 sp5 thingy, Raymond Roche, he was good!!
