My left hand exhaust seems to have whisps of light grey smoke

2002 748s 5500 miles

I've read a thread here before that covered this in detail, can someone please remind me.

Thanks

Mine does it as well, if memory serves me it is to do with the different lengths of the exhaust system??

Chris.

is this once the bike has warmed up or just after start-up (and for about 10 mins)?

If it's on start-up, most 748-996 do this. Something to do with the oil taking longer to get to the rear cylinder. Hence all the advice to warm-up before moving off.

If all the time then could be something else. Mine does this on start-up but both pipes run clean after 10 mins or so.

... and maybe also condensation in one pipe rather than the other. I have noticed it more on cold mornings.
