rear spring/suspension life span?

Hello,

Just out of intrest what is the life expectancy of a box standard rear spring on a 748bp (yr97) Do they go off?

I understand they are set quit hard, to compensate a passenger, but as I dont would it be worth adjusting? or is this a personnal thing.

regards

You can soften it off a bit, but there's no doubt that the biposto spring is way too hard for a single rider.

You could always change the spring for a single-person rated one and maybe get the whole unit serviced/rebuilt at the same time. Either that or go for a fancy new one...
