Yipeeeee,The baby R is back. After Only 3 weeks I picked the newly rebuilt baby R up yesterday. Full engine rebuild,new crank,rods ,pistons,barrelsand valves so basicly a new engine. The cause is thought to have been all the dyno runs the engine had when it went back to Italy to sort out the ECU problems when the race kit was fitted. Running in started today and i must say the bike seems smoother than i remember,although using only 5000 revs is a pain. I plan to have 600 miles done by monday week so it can have its first service so that i can start opening her up so as to be ready for Cadwell. Not at all upset about Monty wrecking the engine!!!!(only joking Monty). Superb service from Ducati UK and of course John Hacketts Men only wish the AA hadnt kept me waiting 5 1/2 hours before NOT turning up!! Anyone at Rockingham on tuesday evening beware as i will only be bimbling round,but at least it'll be a few more miles on the clock. Butch
