Heh, if you're referring to Clarkson then there's nothing wrong with the car ... it's the owner that is always at fault. Allegedly...

I dislike Clarkson intensely. Not for the usual reasons of his own self obsession and his ill-informed ranting about motorcyclists. No.

It goes back years to when he used to have a column in CAR magazine and wrote an article on how he had just bought an Alfa GTV 6. A month or so later I was carved up on middle lane of the motorway by a complete moron who had pulled off from the hard shoulder and simply shot straight across three carriageways into the outside lane, nearly taking the nose of my car with him (I was just cruising along minding my own business until then). I had to stand the car on it's nose to avoid him and gave him a blast of the horn, to which he, of course took umbrage and proceded to brake test me and swerve from one lane to the other braking heavily then accelerating hard so that he would overtake, stand on the brakes, then undertake - all while making the usual V signs and gestures, accompanied by similar gestures from a blonde bimbo in the passenger seat.

The car? An Alfa GTV 6, and yes, it was Clarkson - instantly recognisable from his mugshot in the mag.

It's very seldom I disagree with Jools, but on this occasion I do.

I think Clarkson is an absolute genius, his books and newspaper columns are superb, his ability to take a thread and twist it to some bizarre conclusion of his own choice is exceptional, and most importantly, he doesn't give a monkees what anyone thinks of him. Political correctness, never in a million years, and for that alone he stands out to me
