I am pretty certain that it is down to me. When I change down, I am not lifting my toes up off the selector, therefore, not letting it return, so when I go to click down again, I cannot..

Neutrals
Check your chain tension before doing anything drastic. It does need a positive input to engage correctly so make sure your lever is in the best position for your foot? This can be altered by lengthening/shortening the connecting rod.
Old yellas right check the chain tension, then try lowering the position of the lever, it means you don't have to move your foot as much to change up, I had the same problems after selling my 2000 blade (and its not like hondas have the best gearboxes either), I found that helped a lot, mind you I still get the odd neutral now and then
Hi Lloydy, good to see another newbie, Ive had my 748 for 3 weeks now and was getting the same as you. I came from a GSXR as well. Now I've been on it a few times (nearly 500 miles) I'm used to it and it doesnt do it any more. Need to give it that extra little bit of kick up.
