Fairing Repair

Looking for suggestions on re-spraying a fibreglass fairing panel.

Following a "major muppet moment" coming out of Druids, my R/H track side panel is looking a bit "shop-soiled". Structurally, its fine, but the surface is comprehensively mullered. I'm going to sand it down and re-spray it..does anyone have any suggestions as to what easily obtainable aerosol spray paint gives a fairly good match to Ducati Red?

Any advice gratefully received...Many thanks, Ian

Ian,

Two suggestions for you.

1. take the panel to the local automotive refinishers / paint suppliers and ask them to mix a colour to match the panel and fill an aerosol for you, probably cost around £7.50 ish.

2. I painted my frame and wheels in Ducati Rosso Red made by Debeer. This is a very close match. Again a decent paint supplier will fill you an aerosol with some of this. Should add that this is a good match for the red on an 03 749. Not sure if there are different types of red used.

Hope this helps you.
