Mood: I've just ordered a new bike and its a ..
Hi Keffer,
I've just bought anouther putt putt from Wilf at Moto Rapido and noticed that he has just got in a load of Ducati corse parts including mag top yokes etc etc which he is selling at keen prices as for your paint finish,i noticed that Casoli's paint specialist have a way of applying colour but still seeing the weave under it.

I thought that we are all supposed to be reducing our carbon emmisions......

but I am thinking of maybe some sort of GT black stripe down the middle ?

I agree it needs some kind of paint - but don't go for a GT stripe, it'll make it look like a Mini or some kind of Maxpower car!
IMHO it's gotta be a plain colour - I've seen 9*6's that have had paintjobs on them that try to pick out the lines of the tank etc but they just look ****. (since when has s h 1 t been a censored word??)

Paint it black but leave the carbon showing through the Ducati lettering - boring I know, but at least it looks tasteful.

Well I may have to have another change of colour.
as hard as it is for me to except
I may have to go RED
the black has been great. but I want to leave some carbon on show with this tank and it wont work in the black
also resale values are best with red items I believe.
so keep your eyes pealed as the bike will take on a new shade in the spring

Def painted for me, but if you can get it done so the DUCATI is not a decal but is the carbon showing through it looks cool (like the 998r on side panels)

how much do you reckon you have spent on getting it to where it is now and what else you gonna do to it?

that's why I am now thinking Red Lily so I can leave the letters in carbon.

What's next ? well red then a bit of engine work she made 120HP last year with a 50mm full system. but I would like to put the cams and rods in from the 748SP lump and get it all dyno'd up with the 54's that are on there now.

Money. don't know (or not prepared to say in public) but its still a lot less than a new 996R
when I got the 748SP I never planed to do as much as I have it just kept creeping on. bits here and there. it moves on a wee bit each year.
but then its going to be with me forever now.
so I just keep treating it
