Desmodue Class C ?

Now the DD bike has sadly departed I wisely bought Paul Pullens 996.
Anyway Toni was booked on at Mallory yesterday and I took the 996 just incase
Weather turned out great so I went on the reserve list and ended up doing the afternoon sessions. Now the 620 was the only bike I have ridden in anger untill now.

Awesome !!!! all that power (well compared to the DD bike) and what a buzz spinning up the rear in the dry.

So never mind Golden era Racing can we please have

Desmodue Class C for all 996 bikes
or Desmoquattro Class A?

Cos I really miss racing already.

Ok guys, if you think it is a good idea, then you need to get 25 people to agree with you and then get them to sign up for a series of lets say 8 meetings per year.

Rules could be kept fairly simple, but would have to include a HP and torque limit to be checked by dyno after every race. Tyres would need to include wets and probably something like Super Corsas - so you are into two sets of wheels (mag ones not allowed).

Main thing would be to stop people spending money on engine work!

Surely this would be, to a degree, eliminated by having dyno runs?
You could still tune an engine to give you plenty of torque but if the power limit is capped it would stop you going too mad?

Ant,

We have looked at 4 valve options a few times now, a part of which ended up in the 848 series.

Given all of the parts and work that you can do to these engines, then you have to set really tight power and torque limits - that way apart from basic blue printing there is no reason to spend any large lumps of cash. If you dont then in the words of John Hackett - how much can you afford to spend!

Sounds like fun...what bikes would be eligible?

And Neil, I can't believe you pilfered my championship AND my bike!!

I'd have had that if I hadn't been let down on my DD bike initially. Nevermind..plenty of others out there. You really have got an excellent bike though....
