Getting back into desmo

I've had the caucus of a class B bike on my garage floor for the best part of 3 years and need to sort something out. Would like to get back racing but don't know how the rules have changed since 2009. Did a bit on my 996 in 2010 but got crucified in the sounds of thunder... no dispensation for heritage:-)

Any ideas?

If the 600's in bits you could enter the 996 in Hottrax's new Modern Classic Series, there are already some ex Desmo riders running 996's. Here's a link to the snetterton results to give you an idea of the field.

There are 2 classes for more or less modified bikes.
Runs over the same weekends as the desmodue.
