maintenance cost 749s vs 999

just went down to the ducati dealer and the service staff told me the cost for servicing the 749s is abt twice that of 999 or any ducati bike. he said the 749s, and the R bikes are of race specs and asked me to consider carefully first.

any advice here ?

The 'R' models are expensive to service, but the 749S should be the same as any other 749/999.
I would double check with another dealer,if I were you.

I was told by the guys at Moto Rapido that "R" need belts every year.

I know my "S" only needs belts every 2 years.
