Can't make head nor tail of that site though Neil. (Couple of nice washing machines on there though!) In truth, my own bike's mirrors are quite decent - it's just that there's a certain amount of water damage in the lower edges of the glass. I've been thinking maybe I could just get the glass replaced? Not sure.
i have a feeling that replacement glass is available in halfords as they also sell the "black" mirrors for around £13 which are exactly the same as the ducati items and they also do some spray paint for plastics -the red is a very close match if you wanna go that route
Steve, I had the same problem on the SS with ater damage, stick them in the oven (dunno at what gas mark!) at about 80C and the adhesive softens enough just to be able to pull the glass away from the mirror without damaging the surround (or paint) and then stick the new ones in with some adhesive from a car bodywork place (for sticking trim on) called stay tack or something...... Neil
Turn on the cooker? That's asking a lot Neil. I'm a single bloke. 'Tis a woman's job, is that! (Will it work in the microwave?)
I'll have a look around Halfords on Saturday. If Monstermob's right, maybe I'll find some inspiration there. (There's no real panic to sort/replace these things anyway - I'm just at the start of a 'rolling restoration' on the SP, and will be renewing anything which looks a bit 'dog-eared'.
