749 SINGLE SEAT Q?

JUST MOCKING UP THE SINGLE SEAT TO MY 749BIP AND IT WOULD APPEAR THAT THE SUB FRAME STICKS OUT FROM UNDERNEATH BY A COUPLE OF INCHES.

ANY ADVICE ON HOW TO DISGUISE THIS OR DO I NEED TO START BUTCHERING THE REAR SUB?

The Mono bikes have a shorter subframe than the Bipostos (as you've found out). You can either hack down your subframe(!) or buy a longer single seat unit. I think a few places do the longer seat - DP and Casoli are two that spring to mind.

i seem to remember seeing the odd rear subframe for sale on e-bay recently - perhaps someone like reservoir cogs or bike-enders could help out with one?

We have them too! Choice of styles, DP parts and still at sale price.

See second news item on the home page!!

Happy New Year and, to quote John Lennon, "lets hope it's a good one".

Dont go down the Casoli road ! I had one on my old 999s finish was a bit poor and the overall fit etc was pants !! Sorry you did ask....Your best bet is try and find second hand mono subframe and panels to suit.
