749 Spark Plugs

What plugs are you guys running in your 749?? I pulled mine today to see exactly what was in it since I decided to replace it with stock equipment. (want clean plugs for my dyno run next week) It has Champion RG59V which should be the original, and recommended plug for my bike. Mine is a S also. The problem is I have no experience with plugs that don't have the outer electrode. Is there a gap or anything like that on these plugs?? If so, how do you set them?

I also heard these plugs are not the greatest for normal street use compared to a plug with a normal electrode. Are you guys using a normal plug?? If so, what?? The owners manual lists a Champion RG4HC but it is listed for the base 749/Dark. It also list a NGK CR9EVX for all 749's. Do either one of these plugs have a normal electrode and is that the way I should go for a street bike?? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks for the help...this is a new one for me.

Well, FWIW, I just installed a set of NGK CR9EIX's. It's the same plug listed in the book except for it's iridium instead of a standard plug. This plug also has a normal electrode on it instead of the center discharge one like came it...the RG59V. I basically picked up this one because after hitting 7 bike shops in town, this is the only plug I could find. No one had Champions at all, and no one had the standard NGK, just the iridium. Installed just fine and cranked right up. Wanted fresh plugs in for my dyno/custom map session today so I'll pass along any feedback.
