Front tyres size?

What is the correct size front tyre for a 748E?

I don't have my bike at the moment (still in ducati's hands) so can't look at the tyre on it now. I think its 120/60 x17 but can't remember. It seems that some tyre makes/models do more for 120/70, so was wondering if i could go for these - Dunlop 208 GP's I'm looking at.

hopefully next week sometime. It was put back together last week but the same thing happened again! So it apparently needs a new cylinder head now.

I'm getting a courtest bike this weekend, not much consolation but at least its something to use in the meantime.

Is the courtesy bike a Ducati Jody…are you bringing it to work? Now you have a bike how about a ride down to the Hants meet this weekend?

Well, i said i'd like to try out the new 749R, but they weren't available...

If i get it (don';t want to say i will incase something else goes wrong) it'll be a V-twin still, but a Suzuki SV650 though. Will I still be allowed along??

SV650 well it is a V-twin…we`ll make an exception just this once to let the riff raff ride along

Dave
We are meeting at Foxes Café @11.15, do you want to come over with Jody? I be there about 11ish for a bacon roll and coffee before setting off.

120/60 is the standard 748 front size.
You can run 120/70 as per the 9**'s. I have and the front feels a little more "planted"

70 profile

I run an E with a 70 profile front tyre, 208 gp's aswell, cant recommend them enough for the track

For the road, stay well clear of the gp's though, they never get warm enough, fun if you like front end slides though

hmmmm, 70 section front.

there's was a huge discussion about this some time ago, why does the 748 run a 60 section and the 996/8 a 70 section.

i currently run pirelli supercorsa's on on 748S, anyone have any experience using a 70 section front...?

magpie.
