S4R Recall

My beloved 2005 S4R has been recalled!

Letter just received says "rear shock absorber rocker arm" needs inspecting/replacing

Anyone else know anything or had a similar letter??

Im awaiting a call back from Ducati to clarify, but I do remember that the S4R was recalled in its earlier days for something to do with rear suspension mount? Is this the same one?

Mine was recalled before I picked it up was towards the end of April I think was delayed for about a week. for the rocker to be replaced.

Then about 2 weeks later it was to be replaced again as wrong part was used first . The first was taken of a S2r that was supposed to be unaffected but i guess it was, I was shown it stripped down so I cold have my bike quicker

Chris Im sure it was only for 05' S4r's to but worth a check I guess

RJC - just replied to your question about servicing cost for your S4r on UKMOC board.

http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...ad.php?t=14102

Do NOT pay what you have been quoted mate!!!

I just cant believe some dealers!!

£690 inc parts and VAT!!!

30ish miles away, a very reputable dealer is quoting £350 for the same service, and £100 more if it was the belt service!!
