Classic Bike Restorer's ...Do you know a good one?

Can anyone help me and recommend a bike resoration firm that preferably specialises in Ducati or Italian Bikes in general.

I have just acquired a Pantah 600 after some of you guys warned me away from the 500cc model.

The bike runs although it will need a lot of TLC and a few ££'s spending on it before I get it back to how it looked when it was first sold way back in 1986.

I'm getting Louigi Moto and Richard especially to work his magic on the oily bits but then need someone (either an individual or a firm) that can transform the appearance.

Anyone had any dealings themselves that can point me in the direction of a sympathetic restorer.

Thanks Guys!

Just a quick update on my Pantah "project"....

Bike was purchased for £600 back in July. Ran ok once Rich at Louigi Moto had spent several days with her working on the carbs and brakes.

The bike was then taken away by John Mossey Restorations up in Hertfordshire. They were recommended to me by a friend who had an old Honda 750 restored by them last year. Not the cheapest but superb quality.

They reckon they will have the bike for 3 to 4 months depending on parts availability etc.

I have some "before" photo's but will post them as soon as the bike is back with me (hopefully before the end of October) with the "after" pics so you can see the difference.

My mate Paul has a 750GT (1973) and a 900SS (1982). He swears by this firm.

Also a goo source for parts for the classic bikes should your man get stuck for where to look.

They did a bit of work on his SS for him as it had been lying around for a few years before he bought it, and they got it roadworthy mot'd etc.

I'll second that, Tony makes so many one off parts himself, from engine internals to bodywork,

Thanks for the offer, but I think the firm who are restoring the bike will have some already, but will ask them anyway.

They've had the bike for 6 weeks now and not askedfor any more ££'s which is a good sign I hope.

I need to give them a ring to see how things are going, and if they can send any photo's .. if so I can put some on here. I will try and post a few of her as she was when I bought her back in July.

Cheers

Steve
