Exhaust dilemma.

Hi to all from sunny Spain!

I am looking to get some fruitier sound from my 749s and perhaps crazily am considering alternatives to Termi.

I wondered what you guys think of the Shark option shown on the link:

http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?..._BID_Stores_IT

If I went for that I would get the race filters and have the standard ECU tweeked as I am more after sound than improved performance.

Some of you might know that the former design chief of Termi is now behind a company called Zard..yeah crap name!

Well they have a full system that has just been released and dicussions on the Ducati section of speedzilla and loudbikes make it appear very worthy of consideration.

What do you guys think?

Also have you seen the GP05 replica system made by Rakuten? Looks great!

I am down in Marbella mate! getting ready for the ride over to Jerez before too longfor the first Moto GP race of the season.

I agre that the Zard's do look a nice piece of kit but for the hell of it take a look at this link as there are some sound clips on it! I am a little tempted to go for the double megaphone set up....but would need the baffle I am sure!

The mega's and the Boombox also sound great!

I had seen those already.
Yes, they have a nice sound, but i don't like the way they look that much

I'm in Portugal, but not going to Jerez
I'm going to the Guadix circuit in March though. Have you ever went there?

Hi veetwin, I am going to put the shark on in a couple of weeks.. and I will let you know if OK or not.
It is a simplier system than a Termi, and is designed to be use with the std mapping and no filter so it is not expected to gain a huge performance increase. Termi is coming full (all pipes and collectors) plus filters and ecu, so are two different modification on the bike.

In a second time, I will add perormance filters and PCIII... re-mapping everything (of course, by someone that hopefully knows what is doing).
The shark system is pretty cheap, and now even better as the 2006 model is coming in Titanium instead of stainless steel and still with the DB killers easy to be removed if you want use the bike on the track.. or also on the road if brave to face the men in blue.

I'll let you and the other 999 users how honestly this thing works or not...
Ciao
Brogins

Thanks for the feedback guys. I will be really interested to see what your thoughts are on the Shark.

It seems very difficult to get hold of the non cat front link pipe at the moment but I know a guy that is skilled and doing a cut and shut to remove it. I also will be taking the PCIII step a little down the orad after first seeing what happens with adjustments to the standard ECU.

Please dont let anyone think I hate Termi's! I really dont,it just I am just scratching around for maybe something a touch different.

Ducnow...I am not familiar with that track? Is that in Portugal?
