BMF Show May \'05 hints & tips

So who goes to the BMF, how good is it and have you got any hints and tips for exhibiting down there ?

I'm in the process of organising a stand for Nelly at Cornerspeed for May next year (yes I've had to tell him and thanks for the support guys you know who you are) and I would appreciate any advice.

I've already talked to a few young laydeez about manning the stall in er... tight clothing and its looking very promising chaps

Also there's a whole load of bodywork and DP exhausts etc that we'll be taking down there if its not gone over the winter.

Cheers

Can't help feel you've got the wrong show Rob. Not been for a few years admittedly, but it struck me as a bit of a car boot sale kinda show. Have you looked at what it might cost to take a stand at the racing and superbike show at the Ally Pally?

Yeti, it is a bit of a car boot sale, Ally Pally is undoubtedly better but costs an absolute fortune in comparison. I know you get what you pay for, but the DSC and DOC stands do attract a lot of Ducati owners.

thought it probably would be that way. Looks like Nelly at the BMF then. Sounds like a great title for a kids book -

Nelly at the BMF
Nelly at the NEC
Nelly goes to Hollywood
Nelly does Dallas

Nah, gettin silly now.

Wheelspins ya man for this event. Done the last two shows on the DSC stand and wandered around as well.Would be great if you could get a pitch close by the DSC stand you'lle have a captive supporters club for Cornerspeed. 4D

yep its on May 21/22.

I think its whats affordable and like 4D says, it would be good to get the stand next to DSC although ...... me and BDG had thought perhaps next to DOC or MOC cos most of the DSC people already know Cornerspeed, have to see how we get on with the BMF organisers on that one, but get the dates in your diary, I like BDG's suggestion of taking plenty of beer.....

As a BMF regional rep (bet ya didn't know that - truth is haven't done much yet!!) I can oblige with the dates -

21/22 May = BMF Show
11/12 June = BMF GEMS Show
17 July = BMF Kelso Show
17/18 September = BMF Tail End Show.

Hmm,funny old show the BMF.Its really for the tassled leather/custom bike brigade.
The clubs tend to get lumped together in one corner.'Specialist' stuff tends to get lost amonst the vast sea of tents.Maybe a joint stand with the DSC?

Dunno who will organise it next year as Wheelspin has started his own business and wont be able to spare the time.I'll be up for helping out whoever takes it on.
