It's a semi floating (or floating) disk. See another thread about that in the "today" posts. Basically, it alows allows for expansion in the disk, otherwise the disk would warp as soon as it gets hot. As regards the caliper, they can stick sometimes. Difficult to clean, but I would have thought it'd be checked over at sevice, surely it is part of th e schedule anyway? Dirt can (and will) build up on the exposed part of the pistons and stops them sliding smoothly back into the seals. |
