MV Agusta to WSB?

Crash.net spies have spotted MV Agusta testing their World Superbike entry for next season at the current pre-season test in Valencia.

Previous rumours of a return by MV to top class racing centred around a possible World Superstock entry however it is now apparent that they will be competing in the premier class with the 22-year-old Vittorio Iannuzzo, and Union Bike as the team sponsor as previously reported by Crash.net in October.

The source commented that the MV looks visibly very fast around the circuit, however it cannot match the pace of Sebastien Gimbert on the Yamaha France R1 who leads the time sheets at the test. The Crash.net source reported: "Gimbert is dispensing with Superbikes as if they are mildly quick Supersport machines on the straights

The sexyist motorcycle in the whole world

Mood: R U thinking what I'm thinking?......Oh dear!
MV in WSB has been rumoured for a while, looks like they are trying to fund it with the mega priced bike in this weeks MCN??!!

Now with Proton backing the job it could happen but seems a bit odd, Malaysian backed FPR taking on Malaysian backed Proton, having said that neither Proton or Petronas have held back when it comes to spending on motorsport they have certainly raised there profile but really troubled the trophy makers yet?

Ray.
