My Ducati 851 SP2 for sale

After much consideration I’ve decided to sell my SP2 as I really don’t get the time to ride it.

It has been fully rebuilt having suffered a crash with its previous owner that dented the original tank and caused numerous scuffs & cracks to the original fairing & cans.

Since then it’s had the following renovation:

Front forks rechromed and rebuilt with new seals etc by MH Racing along with the rear shock, none of which have any trace of the leaks associated with Ohlins.

The engine was shimmed and had new belts, clutch seal (improved design) and generator checks together with Ducati electronic diagnostic check by Rich at Louigi Moto.

The whole bike has had titanium fasteners fitted to all suspension, disc, calliper and controls and aluminium fasteners where applicable. It has a new chain, sprockets, wheel bearings and battery.

The frame, suspension loop, wheels and front sub frame were recoated by Griff’s in a metallic grey (wheels satin black) and the original fairing was repaired and resprayed professionally, a new tank was also fitted. New QB Carbon hugger and front mudguard were also added at this time.

The bike has a set of open high level pipes in the pictures but also comes with a set of low level carbon fully road legal Termignonis (for MOT’s). I also have the original rear indicators which can be refitted.

The MOT runs until Nov 06 and the tax until Oct 06, this bike was originally registered in Aug 92 so runs on a K plate although SP2’s actually date from 1990.

The link should take you to some pics.

I’m open to reasonable offers but not desperate to sell. Feel free to contact me with any queries.

Thanks!

Be nice if it happened eh Jools? Of course, by then I'd have spent enough money to buy a Desmosedeici!

Poll - full set of (5) 851/888 SP's, or one brand new Desmosedeici - choose!

(p.s. before the pedants step in I'm not counting SPS's or SPO's etc.)

Tough choice - but it'd have to be the 5 SP's for me.

Lovely bike btw, Stu - real shame it's got to go.

Having decided to sell I've put it up on EBAY I won't let it go for silly money but reasonable offers will be considered.
