ACU application - proof of riding competence?

I've just looked at details of the ACU application and it mentions a requirement that alongside your application for an ACU licence, you need "proof of racing competence".

It indicates that this can be achieved at either the Mick Boddice racing school or the Andreas school.

What's the deal here?
Do I need this recognition for Desmo Due? Will CSS training cover me for this?

Tim

I thought it related to your road licence and hence the difference between Novice and Intermediate Novice. But then again its all changed since I first applied for my licence

This was asked in training today. It's for those that don't have a road licence.

Your dvla licence proves you're competent enough, even just a cbt certificate is good enough proof!
