How many of each SP model

Does anyone have any idea how many of the SP series the factory produced to homologate the 888 into the WSB series.

SP2,3,4+5

I have number 193 of the SP4, which is all good and well but of how many.

All the best

Simon.

With regard to numbers..

Of the 3000 VFR750Rs produced (RC30), it is estimated that only a quarter - to a third - of them survive. (ie. 750-1000 bikes) These are now selling for £8000+ and are appreciating rapidly.

Your SP4 is one of only 500 manufactured. Assuming even half of these have survived the last 13yrs, it would mean there are only 250 or so still left out there.

So, the question is... Ten years from now, which bike will be the hardest to find? And what price for a mint SP4 in 2015? Hmm...!

Talking of numbers..

It is stated that 90% of all Ducati's produced are still on the road

The other 10% managed to get home without breaking down

I took some photos of the new SP today, if someone can explain how to get the damn photos off my hard drive and onto the web you could see it.

I still cant believe how rare this bike is (I Just got it in the past 2 weeks), did the Ducati factory withhold some of the SP4's produced and race them in the WSB series or is it a replica of the bike with lights and indicators?

Thanks for the re assurance on Duke reliability Bolds, I have only just got the duke and have a reliable as clockwork CBR600 up for sale at the moment!(Its nice but dull)
