Any body done their own belts how easy or hard is it & do you need any special tools.

I have done them several times now and they are relatively straight forward.

Have done my ST4 and Pantah, just a question of getting the tming marks lined up, take covers off, loosen the adjusters and the belts come sraight off.

Pop the new ones on, get the tension on them and away you go.

On the 4 valve motor, I think it is the inlet camshaft as to be held in position on the back cylinder to get the belt on ok.

Well done Chris got to the top of the class,
that rear cylinder inlet cam does like to spring away from its timing mark.

Do you mean the cam moves when you take the belt off.

thats right mate it moves. if you take your time,read the manual and have common sense you wont have a problem. make sure you put new lock nuts on the tensioners though. good luck! if you have problems just ask on the board and you will get through it.

The correct tention is very important, you dont wont it too tight, also make sure you mark the cam position before removing the belts, and take your time, dont cut the belts off just slide them off carefully and your be fine
