Quick Cadwell report.....

..... many thanks to all the DSC peeps that came to support us in our days of need!! , it was great to see so many out there. And particularly to my butler Jon - who cancelled his weekend's leave to look after me.

The weekend was really a bit of a blur, both from an mental point of view and from trying to see through a steamed visor!!

There will be many stories to be told, and if I could remember my password, I'll stick my full write up in the proper place - still too knackered to think, let alone write!

But in brief (and in no particular order);

- it was everything I expected - and much, much more
- it all passed by very quickly
- gazebos are in fact just large kites
- I learnt a helluva lot
- I've scored good points in both races
- great, great camaraderie
- qualification is very, very important
- I must get used to wearing ear-plugs to sleep
- I'm crap at putting up tents!
- I kept her upright
- quality preparation is key
- don't forget to do your helmet up!!!
- brake later, turn quicker, accelerate faster
- don't use brand new boots for the first time in a race!
- tents are deliberately designed to be fuggers to put up.
- some guys are bluddy quick!
- wet tracks are a nightmare
- a curry the night-before is a mistake!!
- not crashing is a good thing
- scoring points is gonna help
- I'll be better next time
- there are never enough tent pegs

I'm off back to bed now, its the adrenalin that's still keeping me awake.

To those that were injured - hope you and bike get better soon......to those that got a podium - great work - see you all at CC... onwards and upwards.......

Tim

Well done Rattler. Wish I'd taken my camera (doh). Picture of you sitting in your Gazebo with Jon running around waiting on you hand and foot whilst you gazed around mildly flustered by the fact that the Gazebo was apparently preparing to take flight ... classic, sir.

And those fluorescent yellow wheels look the b0llocks!

Was good to see you yesterday mate.

Hope you got some sleep last night after listening to the chainsaw quartet on saturday night

Best part of the day was watching mother hen Jeeves fussing round you mate, I think there might be a partnership forming there

Cant wait to read all these write ups so off to do some more reading.

Good luck for CC

Gutted we didn't make it to help

But with the weather the way it was at 6am yesterday morning it wasn't lookiing promising. I did manage to get him out of bed and drive over to get the bikes but the floods on the road were not building his enthusiasm for a ride to Cadwell.

Looks like you managed without our interference anyway Hopefully catch you at another round!

Good one Tim!! top day out and definitely the most entertaining races of the day, I think the DSC trebled the number of people up there ! The whole field was going really well and I was especially pleased to see the 'Cornerspeed' bike scoring good points in both races
Looking forward to the next round, good luck with it and I hope the 680 thing doesn't spoil the party eh !

Nice write up Tim. You were looking good on Sunday, and certainly 'on the move' through the field in one of the races (the second I think).

You're looking smooth and controlled, I think there's a lot more to come.

You're right Jools, I think that Tim will start moving up once he does a bit of work on his suspension and gets it turning like he wants to.

Two good points scoring races - well done Tim.

Thanks gents - I learnt a lot on Sunday and had 4 good hours drive home to consider the pros and cons of the weekend.

I reckon its all part of the process and allowing too many external factors to influence is not a good thing!!

I needed to remind myself why I entered in the first place - to become a better, faster, more competent track rider at the END of the year, not straight away!!!

Safe to say that my first meeting did not meet with my expectations, but armed with the hard gained knowledge of these shortfalls, I'll be back!!!!

Tim
