haven't been working down that way for a few years and not totally looking forward to it but work is good so can't be too fussy i guess.

So is work down here a done deal then? When do you start etc etc? Relocating down here?

You could pop round and clean my bike regularly

looks like i could be down there for forseeable future unless something more interesting comes up.

Not relocating (do i look like i can afford southern house prices ) but will be down a few days a week as needed. Possible starting from next week depending on what happens this week.

Pop round and clean your bike!!! I don't even do mine so not likely to start on yours!! (well thats a lie actually, i am allowed to clean certain bits as I am ok with the polish )

ya cheeky git :P

Well I'd only let you start on the monster, no fairings you see. Then, if after a while you showed you can handle that you could move onto the 996.

There you go, a career path, equal opportunity - where's my employer award?

I can't see myself owning a testa engine ever, unless I eventually get a 996R or 998R ....

But you could practice cleaning my old tractor

I'll even let you use my cleaning stuff (yes I own some, it's brand new )

Other option is to look at a 3g card from voda or whoever. i have around 60 out in the field and apart from the latency the speeds are pretty good.
not to dear to run either

if you are on BT broadband, check to make sure that you are not being automatically upgraded to 2Mb (they are in the process of doing this for almost all customers).

If you do want to get a second bb line it shouldn't be a problem. BT runs two pairs of wires into each house for just this eventuality. Obviously you'll be shelling out twice (for broadband and monthly line rental) so it's probably worth checking out alternative higher bandwidth products first.

Why not try a little software based bandwidth control??

http://www.softperfect.com/products/bandwidth/

or maybe

http://www.youngzsoft.net/ccproxy/bandwidth-control.htm

These are from a quick google, but there's bound to be more out there.

This way torrent can still run but have a reduced priority when you're working.....
