\'Modern\' classics

Not sure where to post this query so hopefully the web-host will read this....

When will we have a forum dedicated to the gorgeous new 1000ds-based retros? (Eg the Paul Smart and the utterly utterly beautiful new cafe-racer)

Just wondering whilst salivating over the pics in this months Bike mag.

Russell.

Probably once they start being delivered-there are a few on order within the club.

Good stuff. Just checking to be sure. I'm disappointed i'll be missing the NEC this year due to hols so will have to wait until they're in the dealers to get a proper look.

ItaliaMoto Lincoln have one in right now!
Its a pre production Paul Smart rep.Looked very nice as the sun was glinting on it.
Had a sit on it,(just for curiosity! ),and found the bars are a long way away.Seat height is quite high. The whole thing felt very long.
The exhausts mounted on the r/h side look a bit odd.A bit like when you see a BMW with only one pannier. Also the footrest is very close,I found my right boot naturally resting on the exhaust!! Mind you I have big (webbed!according to some!) feet.Parts man Craig has got some of the Termi reverse cone meggas to drool over.

Hey guys. Yep they're lovely aren't they!
I was fortunate enough to have an official factory tour of the Ducati factory last month...and near the end in a room off to one side of the floor we spotted a sport classic with a pipe each side instead of both on one side. We went over and asked about it and were swiftly ushered away and told...'ummm, you weren't supposed to see that! But we pressed him and he admitted they're working on a model with exhausts each side, perhaps for next year. So if you don't like the two up one side...hang on a while. Although knowing them it may never see the light of day!!!
