How much new? And how much should someone expect to pay in today's market?

a LOT!!!!

sorry, not helpful I know, but with the price increase....

Snells seem to do a good deal, and a mate just got a killer deal on a 1100s monster from Red Dog

They were £9500 last year. Seen them for £9800, so I guess it's creeping up!

Just looked on Bike Trader, all but one place has them for £10495! Guess I bought at the right time *phew*

Why not go for a Used one with some extra bolt on bits? Seems to be a few about with extras for a lot less than the new one.

I just paid £10500

but for that price I got....

1) brand new un-registered 848 o.t.r
2) Termi end cans fitted
3) Ducati 1 piece leathers, arai ducati helmet, puma boots and gloves

....but I did buy on xmas eve! If you were gonna buy in the middle of next summer I assume the price would be £10500 without those extras?!

I'm not surprised he's well chuffed Daz-that sound like a good deal to me.

Anyone buying new before the end of March 2010 will get the Arai Chaser, Dainese Leathers, Back protectors, boots and gloves thrown in (Ducati led promo rather than dealer), and many dealers have been throwing in Termis with standard deal to secure a sale for a while. So most should be able to get the same deal.

They say the free kit is worth 2,000GBP, but I am not sure it adds up (400 helmet, 650 leathers, 150 gloves, 150 boots, 100 Back - Prices from Onyerbike website). So I am fairly sure Ducati cost price is only about 1,000, which equals the price hike! I am not saying it is a bad deal, but I am sure there are a lot of people out there that would prefer 1,000 off the price instead. Of course it is good marketing from Ducati - get people in branded kit so they are less likely to buy another brand.
