Crankcase savers - Worth every Penny

I'm so glad I sat down with my mate Adrian several years ago and designed these crankcase savers after Ducati Stopped selling them and I had the DID chain break on my 996 requiring a replacement of the alternator case.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DUCATI-748...em2c647 4057d

Since then I have had a chain brak on my S2R (yes I know wheelies aren't the best thing for a long chain life)
And on Saturday I had another chain break on a 996 while doing about 80.
Luckily on both these later occasions the crankcase and alternator covers were untouched.
Here is the chain and case saver from Saturday's incident

Needless to say many of my bikes are fitted with them iincluding the DD bike

Yep 100% on that Kev. I made one for the DD bike which I removed when it sold and is now on the 996.

Looks like that link has been fretting a little Kev, all looks a tad devoid of lube.

Yep, rust on the pin and down the inside of the roller.
Should point out its Not my bike and at the time the chain went, I had only done 3 miles on it

Just an experienced observation not a critisism. Remember my brand new non 'O' ring chain at brands= race lost and nill points.

I didn't like to mention that as it might offend.
