Iv got a 748R 01 plate what a pice of machinary, got it as my first bike after learnig on my dads Honda CBF600, Totaly different than an inline 4 with the power in totaly different place. the way you ride a bike is totaly different to any other v twin i tried, as the power is realy nice below 6500 and when it hits that level it takes off like a bulit and keeps building and when it hits 8500 it goes even more.!!
The handeling is way above my level and most peoples as its so precise and does what exactly its ment to when needed.
All i can say is that im one very happy 748R owner and wouldent swap it for any of the currant models around in its class.

Hope this helps a little if you need anymore info please u2me
thanks
Jamie

Congratulations wato39 on your purchase of finest Italian exotica.

Hand build by the Ducati Corse factory themselves using only the best quality components they could find lying around on the floor at the time.

It's by no means 'the ultimate' but it's pretty damn close. I've owned/ridden alot of very different bikes but the 748R brings a smile to my face every time I pull the the cover off of her. That's what's owning a Ducati should be all about.

Despite shortcomings, dodgy build quality and a few dubious components you will indeed come to love it. alot.
