Best Track Tyres?

Going to Almeria in Oct & being a rubber fetishist :-o I'm already thinking about the best tyres for a 3 day trip.....

Want a set that lasts 3 days - average inters std rider

On the list:

Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa's - SP probably

GP Racer D211 - endurance

Bridgestone R10 hard F&R

Always use Pirelli's before but love the dunlop sportsmarts and want to try the D211's but also tempted by the R10 which are 'next generation, tyres....not sure what that means but sounds impressive :-D & they've had great reviews

Anyone tried either??

Thx

Chris

I've used the Supercorsa's (sc1 front and sc2 rear) to race on the 996 with no issues however, I do prefer the R10's. They seem a tad more stable but with the same grip as the Supercorsa's and are a bit cheaper then the Pirelli's.

IMO the Dunlop's are to expensive for trackdays.

Yer pay yer money etc.................

R10 are very good tyres for most people. No need for a hard front though.

Best grip & longevity will be attained from D211GP not the racer variety but bloody expensive.

Thanks

Didn't realise there was a difference...

I thought there was a D211 road comp

The D211 racer in endurance, med and soft

So which is best :-)

Thanks again

D211 GP are Ntec DOT racing tyres that should under no circumstance be used on the road (unless your doing TT or road racing). They are probably the best treaded tyres you can buy for track use. Soft/Med front & Med rear but depending on time of year that will actually mean different compounds (4 number compound code on tyres)

D211 GP Racer are a poor imitation for use on the road / track use.
