Revised Rear Sprocket Flange Spacer

I am currently attempting to uprate rear sprocket assembly to the'998' type which does not have circlip.
I have placed new flange, renthal carrier and new spacer on shaft & have noticed the flange is sitting approx 3mm further out than standard flange.
To confirm there is a problem I have placed spacer & flange on flat table & this sits about 3mm higher than standard flange.
If anyone has these revised parts laying around could you possibly measure spacer thickness & or flange height.

old flange = 37mm

new flange, 32mm + spacer, 8mm = 40mm

therefore sprocket will be 3mm out of line & carrier will be loose.

Thanks

Martin.

Mood: counting down to mad sunday
trusting soul that i am, i didn't check the measurements when i put similar replacement parts onto my 1997 916 a few months ago, but a 2600 tour to southern france has not shown up any adverse wear pattern on the sprocket,
will report back next time i venture into the shed, however motivation is at a low ebb at the moment, cos i got rear end shunted by a range rover last saturday, and the bike is on the critical/write off list.

Steve, Hope you weren't hurt & the 3rd parties insurance company pay up without any agro. Sounds like an excuse for some winter upgrades.

On my bike you can clearly see without measuring there is a problem as there is so much play between flange & sprocket carrier. I must be doing something very silly or there may have been 2 revisions & I have a flange from one rev & spacer from another.
