can i fix my number plate to hugger

hi, 750ss thats been chopped and the frame shortened to a single seat.
the question is is it legal to fix it in an upright position to the rear hugger?
bearing in mind that it will be going up and down when ridden.

was originally side mounted but didn't like it.
cheers.

Should not be a problem, as it goes up and down wherever you mount it.
