Datatool System 3 - Help!

Hi,

When I disarm my Datatool System 3 and switch the ignition on the fuel pump doesn’t prime and when I put the alarm into service mode it gives me a 3 bleep warning which indicates ignition tampering or hotwiring.

Can anyone tell me if a bike fault could trigger the immobiliser or is the datatool is at fault?

Thanks.

Oh as the name suggests its a 748 Bi-posto. 1995.

Could be one of the internal relays is sticking???
Try tapping the control unit, lightly...............with the most technical looking tapping instrument you have to hand
Tfuel pump relay could also be playing up??

Have you checked the alarm fuse?

Hmm, I went out to the garage with the intention of tapping the relays with the most technical looking bashing implement I could find (15mill spanner) but thought “I’ll just try it before I start” guess what....the fuel pump primed. An intermittent electrical problem, great.

I hate electrickery. At least with a muldered bit metal you know where you stand. Suppose I’ll just have to clean all the connections I can find and hope for the best.

I cant' find the alam fuse, which is a bit worrying! I didn't have the system 3 fitted...but i think i might be removing it......

If you have the installation certificate it will be detailed on there.
Common place is near the fuse block under the RHS panel.
Worth knowing in case it does blow.
