Talking Baehr Intercoms

Has anyone used any of these German products. They are coming out with a new more compact line (Blackline) that seems pretty simple to install and operate. Guess a lot of Beemer boys use this stuff, but was wondering if any Duck riders out there (particularly ST folks) have used any of their intercoms.

Just got married and need to keep her in contact with me, the music world and her cell phone as we buzz up and down Japan.

This may or may not be of help:
The Schuberth C2 helmet can be ordered fully wired up to talk voice activated - see their website - so as a great wedding present to yourselves buy two new "wired" C2 helmets.

System better and helmet much better than rivals Baehr :-)

Hmm, will try to track that down, but I have not seen them in Japan. Appreciate the info.

Have you tried both systems??

Have you tried "Love Handles/Pillion Pals", a belt the rider wears round the waist that has a couple of handles attached for the pillion to grip?

In Japan see: www.doken-int.co.jp

In Germany look at (german only page): www.schuberth.de/bluesonic/index.htm (this page descibes their "bluesonic" wireless system which is integrated into their C2 touring helmet - it is bluetooth compatible) The home page of Schuberth contains an english language link for the C2 helmet but not for the Bluesonic product.

I have not personally tried the system nor the Baehr one (I ride solo always), but I do know of quiet a few folks who have tested both and say the Schuberth helmet is so much better than the B and the comms system is more refined that B's.

I wear those whenever my other half is on the back - makes her much more comfortable, and gives me peace of mind that she's not about to drop off the back...

Thanks for the tip on the belt. I know about that and they are available here. Just haven't picked one up yet. As for the intercom, I read some articles on the helmet and they were really unimpressed, especially about the helmet fit. She has a very round Japanese head and a fairly new Shoei, so any wiring would go in that and my AGV Rossi Rep is due for a change and I am probably looking for an appropriate Arai (Sete rep?). Really want to know how the two systems compare though.
Cheers for the info though!
