Question Job 2010......

Looked up classic bike rental on the WWW and found 2 not very good ones. With the popularity of classic car rental, got me thinking (recession aside).
Thought about a dream garage of sorts:

Hhhonda: RC30, RC45, C90(!), CBR900RRN, CBR600RR

MV/Cagiva
MV 312RR, Mito

Triumph: Bonneville, Tiger, Speed Triple

Norton: F1, Commando

Yamahaha: RD350, R6, R1, YZF1000

Suzooki: GSXR 1100, 750, 1000

Kawaski: ZXR 750, ZX10,

Duchati: 888SP5, 916SPS, 996SPS, 999R, Desmosid

That is 25 bikes for about the same price as half a used F40 or a 2nd hand DBS.
Assuming:
125 per day (except the C90)
Rented 6 months of the year
Rented only at weekends for 2 days

£125 * 25 bikes * 26 days = £82,000
Quite conservative estimate.
Charge each person £100 to join. 500 people join = £50,000

Question is would anyone rent them?
Tried to keep the list relatively modern because of the uptime, servicing, parts issues.

What do you reckon?

saw their website. Interesting way to go about it. Seems somewhat complex though. Like th idea of road and track bikes.
Most of the bikes they have are brand new. Keeps service costs down. Nice idea. However the depreciation on the bikes will be very high indeed.
You could of course go to your local deal for free.
Again it seems to be for the very well off.
Nice website.
Anyone used them. If no one on here has then I think their idea is not the one for me.

Actually they seem to use the same idea as P1. The price works out at £60 per day on the basis that 3,000 provides 50 days.
Not bad. They must expect a high utilisation %.
It should be possible to bring something like this to a wider audiance though.

I thought I'd read somewhere that they were struggling though??? - not sure, but most businesses are struggling in the current climate, apart from take-away joints and Aldi!!!

Lesser is more!!!
