Rear wheel bearings..?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me where I can get hold of a pair of 2002 748/998 rear wheel bearings?

Thanks
T.

On all bearings made there is a code, its an industry standard code. So before Ducati charge you £190 for rear wheel bearings get the code off the old bearings. There are loads of bearing manufactures/suppliers just give them the code. They will match them exactly and will cost about £20 tops

Agree with Mr C, the bearing code will be on the outer race and it's generic. It can be a bit difficult to read if the bearing is rusty or cruddy, but Nelly at cornerspeed was also able to confirm the bearing code for me.

I got a pair for my ST a few weeks ago and they only cost me about £4 each for SKF bearings

Agree as well. many years ago I needed new rear wheel bearings for my 750 Sport and the Ducati price was stupid, then went to a bearing supplier who had them the following morning. They were oderded at 16:00 and were ther by 09:00 and at a fraction of the ducati price.

These are the bearing numbers which i fitted to my '95 748 last week. I know the are made by different companies but that's what was in it!

I got them here http://www.eskinternational.co.uk/bearings/service.htm Very healpful.

Torrington NK42/30A Torrington £18.66
SKF BAH0062 £20.56

I was quoted about £120 from the dealer.

You'll also need at least one of the bearing seals on the right hand bearing as it gets damaged when removing the bearing. They cost about £6 for 2.
