Test riding a 09 fireblade - lets see what the fuss is all about!

Be interested to see how it compares to my 748sps & 998S.....

Really like the Repsol one

Honda.......it's dirty but you know you want to.......:-)

I expect you'll love it, but probably still not buy one.

It'll be like a rocket ship, do everything you could ever want it to, but be as boring as hell to ride.

That was my experience anyway. The R1 is a better bike as it has more character (imo).

Hated it!!!!

Engine & brakes are superb - so much drive...f**k me!!!

However....

>you sit on it not in it - felt like a tourer after a 748/998
>Engine sounds like a vacuum cleaner
>gear change is vague & sloppy
>felt like there wasn't enough weight over the front
>disappointing - had it for 1.5hrs brought it back after 30mins

Very easy to ride but very unengaging & uninspiring

Going to try an R1 & 675 next....:-)

Mmmm, Rattler know's all about 675's, think reliability was his big problem

Mmmmmmmm

Maybe just the R1 then!

BTW Like your Chili rep - shame it's not a 998...:-p.....like mine

Was yours a 748R - bet it handles - I reckon my 748sps handles better than my 998S

But I need the extra power to make up the time I lose in the corners...:-)

Yep, it's a 2000 748R and if it all comes together it should have a sigma 853 upgrade this winter so watch out

To be fair to the 675, Rattler was ragging the poor thing to death on the race track
