Ducati 748 sleep mode alarm

Hi I have a problem with my Ducati 748. Bike not used for a couple of weeks and when I pressed the meta alarm key fob to disarm there is nothing. Looks like the alarm has went into sleep mode. I have tried switching on the ignition but the fuel pump does not prime but all the lights are working. Battery has a full charge.
How do I re-boot the meta alarm?

Thanks in advance
Doug

Try holding the alarm fob nearer to the alarm unit on the bike, this might help is the battery in the fob is a bit weak.

Googled Meta Alarms and this is what came back, should/ might be able to find what you need here.

Hi Chris I have these instructions but when I turn the ignition on no alarm sounds and pressing the alarm remote does nothing.
Im sure the alarm is stuck in sleep mode though so I just need to find out how to get it out the sleep mode by means of reboot or reset.

Drop them an email quoting your system and bike along with the problem.

Setting it off (ie, jiggle the bike!) used to work for me.
Then it went wrong proper and left me stranded in town, so it got taken off.

Might be worth getting it looked at to be on the safe side!

Hi Antonye tried shaking the bike too but no alarm sounding. The led does not even come on.
Yes looks like Ill need to have someone check it out.
Just thought I would post this as someone may know how to get it out of sleep mode.

just out of interest whay model number is it (usually on a sticker on the alarm box) as i have recently had to take a meta off an R6 as the battery on the bike went flat, when the customer conected the new battery it blew the relays in the alarm box.
The alarm model in question was only supplied for about 6 months then Meta changed the design and re-called all the faulty one's.

Thought it might be worth a mention!!
