We can usually sort out a discount with the venue and all you have do is quote a reference,

Supply me with a preferred location, date, likely numbers and a price point and I will happily get you a couple of options,

Once again.... Easier to cut down a successful part of any club, than it is to make the effort to match it in the areas of the club you are interested in!

Save the same old responses as to why not, heard them all before.

Blame the MT.

Ask not what the club can do for you....blah...blah...blah...

oh dear.

I started reading this thread hoping to hear details of a christmas do, and the opportunity for me to come meet you nice bunch of people over a beer or 5.

Sadly its another thread full of misunderstandings and snipes at each other. Please can we just move on.

You know its not the DD or anything else thats splitting the club, its all these pointless digs.
Why can't people accept there are those of us that don't race, and those of you that do, and we all like to talk bikes, beer and bollox, in various quantities.

Can someone please pm me details of how to rejoin the club please. I feel the need to show my support once again.

Chris B, I can't find the other thread to add my name to. Is it up yet ?

I frankly, don't give a monkeys what anyones overly political view of all this is, just as long as I get to be drunk with my mates and pick up a pot.

Lovely, glad we've cleared that up.

Ooh, why so touchy
No bolitics intended Tim, it wasn't your implying that non-DD club members would be welcome to a DesmoDue Dinner Dance that wound me up, it was the comment about only DD members making things happen in the club when, clearly, they don't

lol! you lot!

ya know what? us racers (mostly male) spens practically the whole year talking racing, doing racing, fixing crashed racebikes, being at tracks and so on, and with the support of our good ladies... so its only fair that we make a bit of an effort on valentines, right??

well, no! apparently not, as NE's dinnerdance for the 2008 season was on valentines day 2009! thats some real thoughtful planning...!

so a tip to the DSC... dont make it on valentines day... spare a thought for the 'other halves' who suffer us throughout the rest of the year.

thanks for the link, That explains it.
Because I'm not a paid up member at present I cannot see the post.

It may be a daft suggestion, but why not have these events publicised outside the members only area. If I can't see what the club is up to, I can't see what I'm missing out on, and so whether I want to join or not.

Thanks anyway, I'll be rejoining shortly, so won't be a problem for me but could help attract other non members...

cheers,
John.
