I would have said yes as I removed the later type from my 620 engine after it leaked at the Cadwell trackday and fitted the earlier one with the spade connector.
I modified the harness bypearing off soe of the insulation on the original connecting wire and Ting in a piec of wire fitted with a 1/4" spade terminal.
It worked fie at the final DD round

I believe the pressure switch off a Vauxhall Aguila (sp?) 1.1 is pretty much identical and a straight swap, costs a couple of pounds from your local car parts place.

Yes it will fit-as Ducati supply the later type one now as a replacement for the earlier type as a kit with a new connector in with the switch

Bolds is right. The early type has been superceded and type B is now supplied with a new connector you need to fit to the existing wire.

Hi, I believe VW oil pressure switches fit, but when the red light shows your OK when it doesn't, your in the ****, as in reverse. However by the time your oil light warns you it's to late anyway,as in it's time for a rebuild! Which ever switch you fit! I might be wrong, but i think the only thing the oil pressure light can warn you about, is a failing oilpump(or drive to it) or worn Bigend shells, either way the motor will have to be stripped. If you carry on rideing the motor will start to "knock" shortly followed by a rod popping out to say hello.........GAME OVER!......The works racers have no switch fitted because they are rebuilt after every race, I think the oil light is an idiot light to stop the average owner from throughing a rod and thus totalling the motor.
