Replacement Keys

When I have my 996S. I lost the key number and one of the keys. However I found a bloke on the WWW who, if you sent him a photo would provide you with a replacement key for 5-10GBP. Anyone know of someone that can?

Hello smilo006

not heard of that myself, but I have seen some blank keys advertised on ebay.

Buy a blank off ebay or direct from Ducati and take it to any locksmith with a key cutting machine as they'll be able to copy it for you if you have another key to copy it from.

Any locksmith will have a pattern key blank that will fit, but you really want a genuine Ducati one with the right grip on it.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Kawasaki blanks are the same but not 100% sure.

A genuine Ducati blank is only about £6 from a main dealer, at least then you get the Ducati logo etc. Any locksmith / key cutter on the high street should be able to copy your existing key onto it for about £2.
